Boreholes in the Lower Saxony Borehole database (Bohrdatenbank von Niedersachsen - BDN)

The Lower Saxony well database contains information on wells up to 100 m deep and greater from the fields listed below. Wells less than 100 m deep are not subject to mining inspectorate monitoring.

GE Geological exploration (mechanised drilling)
KB Geological mapping drilling (shallow drilling)
IG Engineering geology (site investigation)
HY Hydrogeology (groundwater exploration)
SE Non-metals (resource exploration)
BV Deep well register (hydrocarbons, ores, coal, salt)
The locations of the wells are shown in drilling point maps.
If a well in LBEG's map server is clicked a message box opens revealing the well's most important master data . More detailed information can be viewed by clicking the "Additional information link".
The stratigraphic logs show the sequence of strata and horizons in a graphical and alphanumeric format in accordance with DIN 4023. A textual description gives data on the depth of the strata and horizons, and on stratigraphy and petrography. The scale of the profiles is variable. A summary of the most important master data is given on the first page of the profile.

Die Profilbeschreibungen der Kartierung des Küstenraumes wurden im Zuge der sog. Marschenkartierung aufgenommen, die im Zeitraum von 1958 bis 1968 durchgeführt wurde.
Die dort niedergebrachten Bohrungen beschreiben den Boden bis in eine Tiefe von max. 4m.
