Die Karte zeigt eine punktuelle Verteilung der Organischen Basalsequenz (qhOB, STREIF (1998)) im Gebiet der niedersächsischen Küste. Sie ist eine geringmächtige Abfolge von Torfen und Mudden oder auch Ah-Horizonte eines fossilen Bodens, die in diesem Bereich an der Basis einer mächtigen Abfolge klastischer Holozänsedimente vorkommen (STREIF (1998)).
