Historische Landnutzung in Niedersachsen 1 : 25 000 (WMS Dienst)

Die Karten der Historischen Landnutzung in Niedersachsen 1 : 25 000 zeigen den Zustand vor und am Anfang der großen Kultivierungsmaßnahmen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Um möglichst genaue, bodenkundlich interpretierbare Aussagen zur historischen Landnutzung gewinnen zu können, wertet das Landesamt für Bergbau, Energie und Geologie (LBEG) alte topographische Kartenwerke aus der Zeit des 18. bis beginnenden 20. Jahrhunderts aus. Das LBEG passt die dargestellten Landnutzungen in die aktuellen Topographien ein und hält sie nach digitaler Erfassung in der Datenbank für weitere Auswertungen bereit. Aus diesen Daten der damaligen Bodennutzung lassen sich Hinweise auf die Bodenentwicklung gewinnen sowie die Verbreitung von unter anderem Feuchtgebieten oder Mooren rekonstruieren.
